Gumstick camera
The camera purchased from goodgoods2009 has the following features:
- Resolution: 640 x 480 @ 30fps
- Codec: Motion JPEG / uncompressed 24khz PCM mono
- Container: AVI
- Alternate function: 1280×760 photos
- Timestamp: bottom right (how to set below)
- Webcam ability
- Internal memory: 2MB (yes, 2 megabytes)
- Chip used in device has had it’s identifying marks etched off of it.
Setting the timestamp:
- Create a file with the name ‘time.txt’ in the root of the memory card or internal memory.
- Edit the file adding the time in the following format: 2009.07.25 09.55.00
- Umount the device/memory card and boot the camera.
- The time should now be set. The next time you mount the device you will see the time.txt file is gone.
Using as a webcam:
Hold main button while plugging into computer. Likely need these drivers for Windows. Not yet tested on OSX. On Linux it may work with Syntek DC-1125 Camera Drivers (will test later)
