# Track Source Description
01 Cross That You Bear (Instrumental) Pandemic Demo These were downloaded from some website in the early 2000’s as MP3s. They had been hosted here years ago but I removed them after the album was released in 2003. Noticing that these demo tracks don’t appear to be available anywhere online any longer I’ve uploaded FLAC rips of a CD I made from the original MP3s. It appears I’ve lost the original MP3s so to preserve the already degraded quality I’ll only provide them in a lossless format. I’m not sure what the original track order is or if there was one so I’ve placed them in approximately that order as they appear on the final release. Buy the final release at ArtMonkeyRecords and/or Toxic Shock Records.
02 Fool’s Gold
03 Oceans of Hunger
04 Cross That You Bear
05 Euthanasia
06 Contradiction
07 Harlow
08 Modern Utopia
09 Monsoon
10 Pandemic
11 Valentino
Pandemic (YouTube) Rock TuneUp 202 Pandemic was a track on the 1999 Rock TuneUp 202 compilation. This is a 1st gen rip from my CD. It’s different from both the demo which floated around the internet in the early 2000’s and the final mix.
10 MacArthur Park (remix) (YouTube) Thorn
11 MacArthur Park (radio remix) (YouTube)
12 Ice Planet Hell (remix) (YouTube)
13 Wish [Ocean of Hunger] (YouTube) Earlier demos of what became Fool’s Gold, Contradiction and Ocean of Hunger. Floated around the internet in the early 2000’s a bit but were finally released as extras on Ena’s rerelease of Espina, “Thorn“, on Art Monkey Records. Which if you don’t own you should go and pick up.
14 Supersonic [Contradiction] (YouTube)
15 Chrome City [Fool's Gold] (YouTube)

Psychotica to release new album

This news is way old but I just ran across it while catching up on Psychotica’s history so I could talk with Gardner Goldsmith about them and the song Modern Utopia from the their 1999 album (delayed release of 2003), Pandemic. I had submitted the song for a “song vs song” podcast that Gard is doing to breakup the normal flow of his show Liberty Conspiracy which discusses current topics from a pro-liberty perspective. It seems that Pat Briggs and Paul “ENA” Kostabi reunited in 2008, rereleased Pandemic on Toxic Shock Records and are working on a new album rumored to be released in 2009 with a tour to follow. If the past is any indicator however don’t expect it till 2010 at the least.

Should be interesting to hear how they sound after a decade away from Psychotica.

Even though I purchased Pandemic from Ena back in 2003 through his Art Monkey Records I repurchased it through Toxic Shock Records to show support for their new venture and I recommend all the Psychotica fans out there to do the same if they haven’t already.

Update:

Turns out that Enrique Tiru Velez and Paul “Ena” Kostabi did an acoustic show in Sicily in April 2009 at foundation Mazullo in Taormina. It’s available for download at iTunes, Amazon and Napster. It’s just called “Psychotica Acoustic.” Footage of the event below.
